Even though the last 40 minutes was lame, it was the coolest class so far. We got to hold sugarcane and taste it baked, which was kind of weird because we had to suck out the juice and we couldn't really swallow the fibers. I got to hold a machete. It was pretty badass. I actually look like I'm made to hold one, I think.

We drank agua de dulce, which was basically brown sugar water and tasted sort of like molasses. And then, after class, we sampled three different types of vodka, courtesy of the professor. He even let Alex take the remaining bottles, and I think a few of people are drinking at one of the houses right now, but I'm in the cafeteria with pretty much everyone else waiting for dinner, since it's not even worth it to go back to the house before it since we went so late. Anyway, drinking with your professor right outside the classroom is a very interesting experience.

It rained again today, but at least we got to lay out a little bit between classes while it was cloudy. I burned a little for the first time this vacation...hopefully, we'll get a lot more sun time this weekend. I guess all of us except for those two girls are officially still going now, so that's good.
Sidenote: I love the bathrooms here. They're individual rooms, not stalls, with individual light switches and they're super clean. They're pretty much the coolest bathrooms I've seen, and it's like that all over Costa Rica - all the places we've been, at least.

Are you ever gonna do anything that doesn't suck?
maaaan, i figured you'd be peeing in little holes in the ground. that sounds waaayyy better than individual bathrooms.
Have you ever tasted sugarcane when you're not high?
